Streamline

Design

Two major characteristics mark the design of the streamline:
She was built to

The streamline is an open 3-man keel boat. Its low weight and a slim underwater line is the reason for high speed sailing on all courses

Above all down wind there seems to be no limit, due to her low weight.

All fittings on the boat are placed ergonomically so that you feel at home on the boat right from the start and enjoy sailing at its best.

The Construction, and a clear worked out conszept with the best "Know How" , avoiding useless material knights, are the roots for a class with future.

The streamline is build with the latest technological achievements. At present this means that we use epoxy and a foam sandwich, that is being pressed under vacuum into the wet laminate.

In order to keep the price low we do without Kevlar or carbon fibre. Glass roving provides enough stability and long life to makes the streamline's hull ready to stand tough competition, This has been determined in the construction directions, as well as the rigging that has to be made of aluminium, . Carbon fibre on the other hand is still too expensive and also prone to break.

The fittings arereduced to a minimum. Therefore we use only high quality fittings (HARKEN-USA), to avoid because any kind of broken pieces of equipment during a regatta or championship.

All forms were computer cut 1:1 with a precision of 1/10 mm. This means a worldwide unique precision in series production of sailing boats. The use of the latest methods in sandwich construction (epoxy with a heart of foam material) guarantees a maximum stiffness and durability and keeps the boat's weight at a minimum.

The result of the combination of new Materials and sattled Know How is a boat with a long life span and years of unspoilt competitiveness.
